While I was home for about two weeks I thought to myself: 'wow, I don't think I appreciated living and growing up here enough until now' so here are

some things I love about my home:

i can hang out with my family and play card games with them that no one else who’s not from bavaria knows
i wake up and i see mountains
the chirping of birds you can hear everywhere and always
i can go on a walk and be completely by myself without seeing any people
i walk for two minutes and i’m surrounded by greenery
my cat
my cat can go and play outside if she wants to
you see random cats running around in the neighbourhood and most of them are friendly and let you pet them ₍^. .^₎⟆.ᐟ
the amounts of lakes and that you can swim in almost every single one
you could also swim in all the rivers and streams
Italy, Croatia and Austria are super fast and easily accessible
being on a mountain
my grandparents live close by, so I always get to spend time with them when I’m home
the cows.
there’s also so many birds you just can’t find in a city
i can read the weather well at home and know when it will be a sunny/rainy day without needing a weather app
i don’t overthink my way of speaking because everyone speaks like me
the quality of eggs
my sister bakes a lot of delicious treats
life is a lot slower paced
i’m less stressed because of that
you know you’ll always have people take care of you if something happens
you could leave your front door wide open and still no one will break into your home
so many options for outdoor activities in all seasons without needing much effort to get to places or organise trips
there’s castles everywhere
the prices at my local second hand store are actually what they’re supposed to be + money there gets donated to struggling families
the traditional music gives me comfort
everywhere i go i have memories of my childhood that make me feel appreciative and nostalgic
meteor showers!
i’ve seen so many shooting stars in my life, but I wouldn’t miss it if I didn’t because the stars and star constellations itself are breathtaking
the air quality is a lot better
you can smell all the seasons
there’s butterflies and cute bugs everywhere 𓆑
i don’t overthink my outfit choices
there’s lots of forests you can go into and pretend to be a forest fairy
we have traditional clothes that come in beautiful shapes, materials, and colours
everyone knows at least how to dance waltz and some other basic dances, so any festival is a lot more fun because you can also dance and not just drink
there’s lots of festivals and celebrations for the most random reasons

so many more feiertage/holidays where everyone gets to rest and spend time with each other
wild flower fields with cats hopping though them occasionaly 𓇗
